About the role and where you will be working:
Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the Management Accountant is vital to the organization’s financial planning and analysis. This role involves preparing accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, while offering insights for strategic decision-making. Focusing on financial performance, the position includes analysing variances, and presenting recommendations to senior management. The Management Accountant also enhances financial processes through technology and supports audits, aligning financial operations with the organization’s goals, especially in the aged care sector
This role is located at our central office in Rivervale with the flexibility to work from home 1 or 2 days per week.
We’ll also be asking you to:-
- Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly financial documents, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, financial improvement opportunities, statutory reports, and tax compliance.
- Deliver business performance analysis and insights.
- Contribute to year-end processes, statutory accounts, audit, and consolidated accounts.
- Contribute to financial presentations for internal and board meetings.
- Partner with key cost centre owners to maximise financial performance.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
- Qualified, CA/CPA or equivalent (preferred)
- Proven experience in accounting or finance, in the not-for-profit space or in a commercial environment.
- Excellent time management, a positive attitude, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Adaptability & willingness to learn.
