Our high-energy, bustling downtown restaurant is currently seeking a Front of House General Support Worker to become an integral part of our dynamic team. As a popular dining destination for locals and tourists alike, we require a talented individual who can seamlessly adapt to a variety of roles in our fast-paced, high-volume setting.
This is a unique FOH restaurant position with great opportunities for advancement. While experience is preferred, direct training from our administrative team will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be a flexible, quick learner with a knack for multitasking. You will perform a broad range of duties, including those typically associated with hosting, portering, food running, bar backing, and bussing. Your ability to pivot between these roles will be crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of our restaurant and ensuring a fantastic dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Greet and seat customers promptly with a friendly demeanor.
Maintain a clean and welcoming front-of-house environment.
Assist in setting up and breaking down the dining area and bar at the beginning and end of service.
Aid bartenders by restocking bar supplies and handling glassware cleaning.
Ensure timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the guests' tables.
Help with table clearing and resetting, ensuring the dining area remains clean and well-organized.
Perform side tasks as needed and assist other restaurant staff in providing an excellent dining experience.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to cooperate and collaborate with various teams.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
