Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff. The Ultrasonographer will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring accurate imaging results.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to obstetric, gynecological, and abdominal scans.
- Ensure the proper operation of ultrasound equipment and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Analyze images obtained during examinations for diagnostic purposes and collaborate with physicians to discuss findings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards and regulations.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques to provide the best care possible.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, particularly sonography, with experience in Ob/Gyn preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure safe practices during procedures.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for interpreting ultrasound images accurately.
Qualifications
- Certifications in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) with specialization in OB/GYN
- Minimum of 2 years experience in OB/GYN ultrasonography preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology and obstetric/gynecologic conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
