Job Responsibilities
The Instrument Sanitization Technician is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene in our facility.
- Collects and sorts contaminated equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Manually cleans and sanitizes supplies using specialized equipment.
- Operates and maintains decontamination equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Prepares and packages sanitized supplies for sterilization.
- Examines supplies carefully to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization.
- Routinely tests and reports any issues or problems with sterilization equipment.
- Assists in preparing and delivering necessary equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Maintains accurate records of sterilization procedures, sterilized items, equipment maintenance, and supplies.
- Monitors inventory and supplies levels.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution is preferred.
