Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide critical support to our surgeons during procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons with surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and an unobstructed operative field.
- Verify patient identity and operative sites, and discuss surgical procedures with the surgeon.
- Monitor patient intraoperative status and obtain dental radiographs as needed.
- Complete patient clinical narratives and maintain accurate documentation.
- Perform preoperative and postoperative duties, including tissue retraction and intravenous line management.
Requirements
- BLS certification required or ability to complete within 1 month of hire.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of related experience preferred, with DAANCE certification and licensed dental assistant certifications desired.
