Devall Diesel is currently looking for Diesel Tech Assistants at the Sulphur, Louisiana facility. Southern Devall brings over120 years of experience backed by more than 230 barges, 70 towboats and the expertise of over 700 mariners' company wide. Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid TWIC Card
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass pre-employment Non-DOT, Physical, Drug Screen & MRI
- Willingness to learn from some of the best technicians in the industry
- Willingness to travel, sometimes overnight
- Preferred experience in diesel engines, generators and parts
- Job-Related Certifications
- Organization, computer and communication skills
- Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency
- Ability to lead, tech, and train proper work and safety procedures
- Must be able to provide, record and manage paperwork
- Will be available to work on weekends and/or nights, in weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively
Job Duties:
The qualified applicant will assist in performing a variety of tasks including the inspection, repair, and preventative / corrective maintenance and modifications on diesel engines and generators as needed.
