Position: Cyber Security Manager
Location: Sulphur, LA
Department: Information Technology
Position Summary:
This is a management position responsible for supporting IT operations and projects in the Office and on Vessels as directed by the Director of IT.
Qualifications/Experience:
- B.S. Degree required
- Marine industry experience preferred
- Five or more years of experience in IT
- Two or more years in an IT infrastructure technical role
- Expertise in software and hardware architecture, operating systems, cloud adoption, networking, cyber security, and line of business applications
- In-depth business process analysis experience
- Experience in process improvement
- Strong business acumen, including industry and specific processes
- Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and practices
- Skilled in strategic thinking, business and technical planning
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making and team building skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, detail oriented and solution focused
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep up to date and make recommendations on the latest cyber security measures.
- Primary Cyber Security representative within the company
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures on boats and in office.
- Assist when needed in desktop ticket resolution.
- Manage day-to-day operations of IT under the direction of the Director of IT.
- Assist IT director in strategic IT planning.
- Prioritizes resources and maintains budget, ensuring that it’s consistent with strategic objectives.
- Develops an understanding of the business needs by building a relationship with other business leaders.
- Accountable for performance, security, and life cycle management of the organization’s infrastructure including datacenter, networking, telephony, end-user equipment, and security.
- Assist in the development processes, technology/vendor standards and deployment guidelines for all critical aspects of the IT service offering.
- Assist in running an effective service management program based on best-practice processes and disciplines.
- Stays abreast of emerging technologies and evaluates whether they should be incorporated into IT products to deliver positive business value.
- Manages the supervision, evaluation, and development of team members.
- Understands and propagates the importance of cyber security within the organization; champions processes and technologies to achieve a secure environment.
