What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drill Locator position at Southern Directional, INC?
Southern Directional is hiring for an experienced Directional Drilling Locator. As a Directional Drilling Locator, you will be responsible for:
- Using specialized locating equipment to accurately locate and track the position of a horizontal directional drill head, during underground utility installation.
- Reading and understanding project drawings and locate utility maps to plan the drill path, while avoiding existing utilities and obstacles.
- Providing real-time feedback to the drill operator regarding the drill head’s location and adhering to all safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment.
Must have a valid form of ID
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
Must have reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.50 per hour
