Pet Groomer - Job Description
As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services for animals of various sizes and temperaments. Your duties include bathing, trimming, clipping, and addressing matted hair, while ensuring grooming tools and equipment are maintained and sharpened regularly.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Complete service notes for all grooms and take package pictures to send to clients within 24 hours from completion of service.
- Rebook appointments as needed.
- Achieve a minimum of 5 dogs per day, totaling 25-35 dogs per week.
- If weekly goals are not met, your commission rate will be reduced by 10% for that week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Skillfully manage hair dematting and detangling.
- Perform thorough pet bathing, conditioning, and drying.
- Trim nails, brush teeth, and clean ears safely.
- Groom and style pets according to owner instructions or established standards.
- Accommodate special requests from pet owners.
- Identify and report health issues such as ear infections or skin conditions to pet owners.
- Advise clients on at-home grooming practices.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas and contribute to the salon’s overall hygiene.
- Handle client check-in/out processes and operate the point-of-sale system.
- Engage with clients to offer product and service recommendations.
- Reach out to clients who haven’t visited in a while and return missed calls.
- Promote yourself through social media and other marketing initiatives to attract new clients.
- Collaborate with the team to uphold a clean and well-presented salon environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Cross-train to operate the front desk to ensure proficiency in check-in and check-out procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $800.00 - $1,200.00 per week
