Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Maintenance Crew Member to join our team. In this role, you will work under the direction of a Crew Leader, assisting with lawn and landscape maintenance while ensuring the highest quality standards. This position requires reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and are motivated to grow within the company.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Valid NC Driver’s License with a clean driving record (preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
- Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow directions, work well with others, and be a team player.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance of landscapes, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, and general clean-up.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Support the Crew Leader and other team members in executing daily work schedules and ensuring job sites meet company quality standards.
- Help with loading, unloading, and organizing company equipment and materials for daily routes.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper use of company trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Work efficiently and collaborate with teammates to complete tasks on time.
- Follow safety guidelines and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Display a willingness to learn and grow, taking initiative to develop skills and advance within the company.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Capable of working 8-10 hour shifts and occasional Saturdays due to weather-related delays.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of plant care, irrigation, and common landscape maintenance practices.
- Ability to identifying common landscape issues such as watering deficiencies, pests, and plant diseases.
