Job Description
This position consists of minimum, 40 hour work weeks. This job will be based out of our Raleigh, NC office with around 25% of time being spent out of town working remotely in both NC and SC. This position should expect to be out of town at least 1 week out of the month. Duties: A residential solar electrician will participate in the physical installation of residential solar electrical equipment and battery backup systems.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Full understanding and conceptual knowledge of single line electrical plans
- Be able to read and install electrical equipment in accordance with plan set
- Running conduit exterior and interior
- Running NM in crawl space/attic
- Work in electrical panels, landing breakers, moving existing breakers
- Installation of solar inverter (be able to lift at least 50lbs)
- Installation of Battery Backup systems (Tesla Powerwall and Generac PWRCell)
- First installer for all new products, completes required training courses from product manufacturers if certifications are necessary to sell/install the product
- Reviews all residential and commercial electrical plan sets for errors and correct information
Qualifications:
- OSHA 10 certification (preferred before hire but required before starting)
- General construction knowledge and/or experience along with the ability to use hand tools (drills, saws, drivers).
- Ability to work at high heights with the use of a safety harness, outdoors, in attics and crawlspaces in extreme conditions.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions that NC has to offer
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and team working skills
- 3 years relevant electrical experience is required (preferably directly installing Solar equipment)
- Experience installing battery backups systems (preferably Tesla Powerwall or Generac PWRCell)
- Minimum 5 years clean driving record
Compensation details: 25-30 Hourly Wage
