We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring confidentiality, and verifying patient insurance benefits. This is a key role in supporting our healthcare team in delivering efficient and accurate services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and coverage, ensuring accurate billing and coding.
- Communicate with insurance providers to obtain necessary authorization and information for patient care.
- Coordinate with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Assist with scheduling and patient intake processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in medical records management.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical records or coding is a plus.
