What are the responsibilities and job description for the BAMC Foodservice Worker position at Southern Foodservice Management Inc?
Job purpose:
To provide the best possible dining experience at BAMC for each and every Guest by delivering excellent customer service and quality in every product we offer. On any given day, job duties may vary due to the needs of the operation as directed by your supervisor.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Perform a variety of tasks concerned with preparation and serving of foods and beverages.
2. Make coffee, tea and other beverages as needed.
3. Serve food on serving lines during mealtimes.
4. Prepare dining and serving areas by setting up counters, stands and tables.
5. Place food containers in serving order.
6. Wash and sort dishes.
7. Clean kitchen equipment, counters, sneezeguards and tables.
8. Sweep and mop floors.
9. Clean, sanitize and straighten work area.
10. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus on quality.
11. Restock Napkins, Condiment Stands and Silverware.
12. Restock sodas and Food items.
13. May be assigned other tasks to Support Meal Production and Service or over all Cleanliness of the Kitchen/Dinning Area.
Southern Foodservice Management standards:
1. Be friendly and courteous. Remember nothing is more important than waiting on our guests. Be pleasant when speaking with customers and say thank you.
2. Notify the manager immediately with customer complaints.
3. Use safe food handling procedures at all times. Following the Serv-Safe requirements and SFM Personal Appearance Policy. Such as: Wash hands when starting shift and as needed. Personal hygiene: Clean and proper uniform, fingernails kept short, clean and no polish. No jewelry allowed. Change gloves often and when switching tasks.
4. Read, understand and follow SFM’s Employee Handbook. Ask for clarification on any item you do not understand.
Clean uniform: Shirt, Pants, Hat or Hairnet, Apron and badge.
