What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering/Café Assistant (234) position at Southern Foodservice Management?
Southern Foodservice Management, Inc., a national contract food service company, is now hiring for a Catering/Café Assistant at our ADTRAN account in Huntsville, AL 35806.
In this position you will be responsible for assisting with daily operations in the catering department and café, with job responsibilities consisting of setting up catering events, assisting with food preparation, food delivery, breakdown and cleanup.
In this position you will also be cross trained to work on the cash register, serve customers in the café and prepare various food items. You must be able to work with limited supervision, have great customer service, attention to detail, have knowledge of food sanitation, be able to follow recipes, have a professional appearance, dependable transportation, teachable attitude and a strong work ethic.
The shift schedule is Monday - Friday and the shift hours are 6:00am - 4:00pm. The payrate is $15.00 per hour.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass background and drug tests.
- One year of food prep experience.
- Two years of customer service experience.
- Banquet and Event setup experience preferred.
- Must be organized, clean, fast and able to multi-task.
- Must enjoy people and be able to provide “Something Extra” to our guest.
