Southern Foodservice Management, Inc., a national contract food service company, is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Food Service Worker to be a part of our Southern Foods team at Bluegrass Challenge Academy located in Fort Knox, KY 40121. Come join our fast-paced team feed our men and women of the United States Armed Forces.
If you are called, you will need to bring proof you have access to Fort Knox with you to the interview.
You should have knowledge of food sanitation, be able to follow recipes, have a professional appearance, dependable transportation, teachable attitude and a strong work ethic.
This is a permanent position with our company, the schedule for this position is on a 7-day variable, PM shift only and the hours are 1145 – 1930. You must be flexible with shifts.
You can earn up to $23.11 per hour.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass background and drug tests.
- 1 year of experience in cooking is needed.
- 1 year of experience in food service / server needed.
- Must be organized, clean, fast and able to multi-task.
- Must enjoy people and be able to provide “Something Extra” to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Be able to prepare and serve food on the serving lines during meal service.
- Prepare dining and serving areas counters, stands and tables.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Clean and straighten work area.
- Verify, count, and rotate stock on delivery days.
- Duties include but are not limited to prepping, cooking, and serving meals, cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and dishes.
