Southern Furniture Industries is hiring a Trainee Production Associate to join our dynamic production team. As a trainee, you will learn and develop the necessary skills to operate a single needle sewing machine and assemble fabric into high-quality products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn to read and understand daily production schedule in order to accurately produce daily requirements
- From production schedule, learn cover numbers to identify different covers and colors for respective styles to be assembled
- Inspect sewing machine, hand tools and protective equipment before use
Requirements:
- Ability to read, understand and communicate the English language
- Basic knowledge of sewing machines and fabric assembly
- Personal protection equipment should be worn at all times within the department as well as throughout the plant where designated
