Overview
You will implement and support company pricing, market strategy, yield, distribution, and selling strategies, as well as revenue management best practices. Your goal will be to maximize revenue generation through the effective use of company systems, business processes, and specifications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Explore and provide variations in the market mix to stimulate additional revenue without increasing costs.
- Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of internal incentive programs for Commercial/Sales, providing clear payback analysis, and assist General Managers in making necessary adjustments.
- Prepare quarterly presentations or reports for the Revenue Management Committee and the team's progress toward the five-year forecast goals.
- Monitor competitor strategies and data, maintain an understanding of local market dynamics, and present appropriate action plans to management.
- Send targeted daily communications describing relevant strategies and pricing changes.
- Lead weekly Revenue Management meetings, discussing future issues such as performance statistics and revenue-specific goals.
- Set revenue management strategy, including pricing, for all portfolios, ensuring alignment with commercial teams and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor actual sales and revenues to determine variance and assess goal accomplishment.
- Create standardized report packages and forecasts, develop automated budget and forecast tools, and assist in maintaining rate codes in various systems.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus five years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of supervising/managing exempt level employees.
- Ability to determine revenue recognition treatment, reviewing and analyzing month-over-month revenue against the budget, and implementing successful revenue and billing techniques.
