This position requires a licensed mental health provider to deliver vital mental health services to inmates within a county jail system.
Responsibilities
- Deliver essential services to inmates, including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group counseling services.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and address a range of issues such as substance abuse, trauma, anger management, and coping skills.
- Facilitate referrals to internal programs and external community resources for ongoing support upon release.
Requirements
- Master's degree in counseling or social work, current licensure (LPC, MSW, etc.), and eligibility for certification in correctional mental health (preferred).
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for working with justice-involved populations.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
