Licensed Counselor, Social Worker or Psych RN Flexible Schedule
We seek a dedicated Mental Health Provider to deliver essential counseling services to inmates in a county jail. The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of inmates' mental health needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on stabilization, skill-building, and preparation for re-entry into the community.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including corrections staff, medical professionals, and probation officers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Facilitate referrals to internal programs and external community resources for ongoing support upon release.
- Stay current with best practices in correctional mental health and seek out opportunities for professional growth.
Requirements:
- Master's Level: Master's degree in counseling or social work. Current licensure (LPC, MSW, etc.) and eligibility for certification in correctional mental health (preferred).
- Registered Nurse: Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing. Correctional health experience preferred, but not required.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work designated shift.
