Southern Health Partners is seeking a skilled Mental Health Care Professional to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to inmates in a county jail.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of inmates' mental health needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on stabilization, skill-building, and preparation for re-entry into the community.
- Provide individual and group counseling services, addressing a range of issues such as substance abuse, trauma, anger management, and coping skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including corrections staff, medical professionals, and probation officers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Facilitate referrals to internal programs and external community resources for ongoing support upon release.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing and knowledge of evidence-based practices for working with justice-involved populations.
