Overview:
The Credentialing Administrative Specialist ensures our mental health and substance use professionals meet all required qualifications and standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing credentialing and re-credentialing processes
- Verifying and tracking credentials, licenses, and insurance approvals
- Coordinating WV CARES background checks and tracking CEUs and reimbursements

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- CPCS or CPMSM certification (preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience in credentialing, Human Resources, or healthcare administration, including familiarity with license tracking, compliance management, or background checks (preferred)
- Must have been employed in the medical services field for a minimum of 12 consecutive months within the last 24 months and possess a total of at least three years of experience in the medical services profession within the past five years
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
