Overview:
Peer Support Specialists for mental health provide support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. These individuals use their lived experience to offer emotional support, help consumers navigate mental services, and empower them to manage their condition.
Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Lived experience with mental health challenges
- At least one (1) year of experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
