What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Lifeguard position at Southern Hills Country Club?
Southern Hills Country Club is seeking part-time, seasonal Lifeguards to:
- Oversee and enforce swimming pool rules and safety regulations
- Anticipate, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies
- Deliver the unique Southern Hills' experience through exceptional service and warm hospitality
- Contribute an equal share to the team's success in all tasks, including cleaning and maintaining equipment and supplies
Lifeguards must have 32 hours or more availability per week. Pool hours are typically 10:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays, and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
Successful candidates must be 16 years of age or older, have a Lifeguard Certification (or attain it by the beginning of the season), and be available to work weekends and holidays. Lifeguards must maintain "test ready" skills at all times and be able to meet physical requirements including complete mobility and good physical conditioning, good hearing and vision, and ability to tolerate heat and sunlight.
