Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will participate as an active administrative member of the Nursing Management Team and assume 24-hour responsibility in directing and coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients on the assigned unit/ department
• Your principal responsibilities include strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance and quality improvement
• You will manage financial resources through regular position control, payroll excellence, data review, management of contract labor and block time analysis and serve as department information management liaison, ensuring IS is maintained for maximum productivity, employee and physician satisfaction
• You will own environment of care standards and updates for surgery department, meet and maintain risk management best practices for OR and Surgical Services, coordinate the daily activities for the peri-operative service line, and act as effective steward of resources, monitoring and improving supply management and process improvement initiatives
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred; Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration or in Nursing preferred
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nevada
• Active BCLS, ACLS, PALS required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in management of Surgical Services programs
