Job Summary And Qualifications
The Respiratory Therapy Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of the Respiratory Therapy Department’s efforts in the NICU. They will Plan, coordinate and deliver comprehensive education and ongoing evaluation of competency. The initial efforts of this position will focus solely on NICU operations. As NICU interventions require less attention the responsibility will expand to include similar efforts outside of the NICU. The duties and responsibilities listed herein are not all inclusive but rather indicate the primary emphasis and establish the necessary skills, effort and responsibility of the position. The Respiratory Therapy Coordinator supports all of the efforts of the Respiratory Department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Recent, significant Respiratory Therapy experience relating to level III NICU
- Must be a motivated self-starter. Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to use sound, independent judgement.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate from respiratory therapy program required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5 years clinical experience in an acute care facility.
- Level III NICU experience preferred
- License in Respiratory Care from Nevada Board of Medical Examiners.
- RRT-NPS certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care-preferred
- Nevada blood gas technologist license or blood gas general supervisor license.
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
