Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
CMA Description of the Position:
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide Residents with routine daily nursing care delivered in a compassionate attitude and in accordance with our established nursing care procedures and philosophies as may be directed by your supervisors. As a CMA, you will be responsible for assuring that all residents are given their medication in a timely and orderly manner, as well as maintaining proper documentation and ordering from the pharmacy. We are a team-driven facility, so you will be asked to step in and help, wherever needed, and the rest of your team is asked to do the same for you!
CMA Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, walk, stand, lift, carry, push, and handle equipment, supplies or patients exceeding 50 pounds
- Must function independently and have flexibility (rotating weekends required), personal integrity, and
- The ability to work effectively with Residents, employees, and support agencies.
CMA Qualifications:
- Must have a current State CMA
- Must obtain a current BLS CPR card
