Position Summary
Education
- Responsible for assembling, delivering & retrieving patient meals.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Licenses and Certification
- Food Service Sanitation required for SJMH within 90 days of hire
- Food Service Handlers Certification (MHC, HH, HMC, Cancer Institute) required
- Allergen Certification required
Experience and Skills
- 6 months previous experience in food service
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Maintains clean work area following all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Enters and reports cash transactions.
- Adjusts meals to meet the needs of the patient while following doctor’s orders
- Keeps all work areas adequately stocked with food, condiments, beverage and service ware.
- Washes dishes and utensils following Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines in all actions.
- Delivers and retrieves trays using required patient identifiers in all interactions.
- Attractively and accurately assembles patient trays.
- Follows established portion control guidelines when serving food and beverages
- Responsible for service to retail operations.
- Prepares meals using approved food sanitation practices
- Sweeps and mops floors using approved methods.
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
$15.00 - $22.50Salary : $15 - $23
