Description
The Research 1 role will prepare field-collected samples for extraction, cleanup and analytical analysis for research projects examining the effects of organic contaminants on wildlife. It is a 12-month position renewable contingent on performance and funding.
Examples of Duties
Preparing field-collected samples for extraction, cleanup and analytical analysis for research projects examining the effects of organic contaminants on wildlife. Operates and maintains analytical equipment. Cultures aquatic organisms and conducts toxicity bioassays. Maintain and troubleshoot the analytical equipment. Assist in ordering and maintaining laboratory inventory.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Preference given to applicant with formal training in Gas and Liquid Chromatography.
