VICE PRESIDENT FOR FINANCIAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE AFFAIRS
Southern Illinois University (SIU) System invites applications, nominations, and expressions of interest for the position of Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs (VPFAA) and Board Treasurer.
The Southern Illinois University system consists of two main campuses: Southern Illinois University Carbondale was recently designated as a Research 1 University (R1) with a law school at the main campus and a medical school in Springfield, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with a dental school in Alton, an education center in East St. Louis, and the Southwestern Illinois Justice & Workforce Development Campus in Belleville. With a total budget of nearly $1 billion, the SIU System employs more than 7,000 faculty, staff and administrators who serve nearly 23,500 students and offers students a variety of associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral and professional degree programs.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, this role reports directly to the President and serves as the chief financial officer of the SIU system. The VPFAA interacts regularly with the CFOs on each campus to ensure financial stability for the system and each campus. There is an expectation that this person will be based primarily in Springfield, though with regular travel to the other campuses.
