We are seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate for the role of STEM Center Program Coordinator to oversee and coordinate both internally and externally funded projects at the SIUE Center for STEM Research, Education, and Outreach. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development and implementation of STEM curriculum and student programs, support volunteer and staff training, and contribute to program evaluation efforts.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee the development, execution, and enhancement of STEM-related curriculum and student programs.
- Coordinate training and support for volunteers, staff, peer mentors, and graduate students to ensure program success.
- Assist with the creation of innovative and engaging STEM curriculum based on current best practices, national learning standards, and educational research.
- Collaborate with STEM professionals, educators, and researchers to design and refine curriculum that fosters student interest, academic performance, and persistence in STEM pathways.
- Provide professional development programs to educators aimed at improving STEM instruction and enhancing student outcomes.
- Monitor and assist with program evaluations to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness.
- Communicate program objectives, progress, and results clearly to diverse audiences, including students, educators, and stakeholders.
Who You Are:
- Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept through implementation and assessment.
- Experience coordinating STEM initiatives, including balancing priorities and working under tight deadlines.
- Strong ability to work with diverse teams and groups, including external stakeholders.
- Ability to guide SIUE staff, students, and volunteers in various activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with:
- Faculty and professional staff
- Pre-K to graduate students
- Science and education professionals
- Leaders in government, nonprofit, and corporate sectors

- Proficiency in computer applications, including:
- Microsoft Office
- Presentation and web tools

- Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Final Salary will be Determined By Education and Experience within the Range Posted
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
1. A master's degree in a STEM-related or STEM education field
2. P-20 STEM classroom teaching or out-of-school education experience is required.
3. Knowledge of state and national STEM learning standards is required.
