General Description:
The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for the servicing of a group of customers through relationship building, products, services, and information to achieve sales and profit objectives for the business as well as the Commercial Sales Representative.
Duties Include:
- Create awareness and demand for the company’s products and services.
- Establishing and maintaining Outside Sales Routes
- Identify opportunities, effectively communicating features and benefits of solutions to meet the needs of our customers.
- Maintain communications with internal personnel to ensure efforts are in line with objectives.
- Identify prospective customers by using business directories, leads from existing customers, participation in organizations/clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
- Maintain quote documentation and Pricing Structures relative to specific customers.
- Monitor market conditions, product and service innovations, as well as competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Negotiate details of contracts and payments.
- Post-Sales follow up ensure all customers’ expectations are met or exceeded, providing remedies when not.
- Servicing of Account from quoting, to delivery, to billing, to managing of Account’s Receivables
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Sales Requirements:
- Customer-centric service philosophy
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent Outside Sales Experience.
- Knowledge of various relationship sales techniques.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment for proper servicing of our business and customers’ needs.
- Proficient Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills, including well-developed presentation skills.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
- Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.
- Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
- Occasional squatting, bending, and twisting.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
- Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).
- Sense of sound (Ringing telephones, alarms, horns, and motorized equipment).
- PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, footwear).
