What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Service Technician position at Southern Indiana Tire Inc?
We are looking to add a couple full-time Commercial Service Technicians to our team.

Duties Include:
- Inspect vehicles using commercial inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisor; apply test instruments to equipment and read results to diagnose malfunctions; inspect and verify dimensions and clearances to comply with factory specifications.
- Perform basic commercial maintenance and repair, including oil changes, lubricating machinery and equipment, filter and fluid inspection and replacement, and other light mechanical items and repairs.
- Align front ends and suspension systems, using alignment equipment and balancing machines.
- Perform brake, shock, strut, suspension and other mechanical repairs and parts replacements.
- Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices.
- Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.
- Drive service truck to customer locations and requested road service calls.
- Test drive commercial vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operating condition.
- Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks.
- Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment.
- Safely operate all service truck machinery, including but not limited to all shop machinery, boom and hook.
- Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
- Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.

- Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation.
- Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.

- Sense of sound (Alarms, horns, and motorized equipment).
- PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear).
