Position Summary

Southern Land Company, a national real estate development and construction firm is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join our dynamic team in Charleston, SC.

Society at Laurens is offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing world class customer service.  The successful candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills with a flawless attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work independently.  Two years of experience in housekeeping a must.  Professional standard of appearance and week-end hours required. 

Society at Laurens, located on Washington and Lauren Street, is a luxury mid-rise residential community, with 148 residences and numerous unmatched amenities, including a resort-style pool, lounge, fitness center, and business center.

Primary Responsibilities        

• Cleaning common areas, resident apartments, and guest suites as scheduled
• Utilize cleaning equipment and supplies (16 oz. wet mops, small wringers, dusters, household-type vacuums, other necessary supplies)

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

• Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary
• Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Ability to lift/move 15 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to anticipate housekeeping needs of the property

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years practical experience
• Fair Housing training
