Position Summary

Southern Land Company, a national real estate development and construction firm is seeking a full-time Service Technician, Monday - Friday 10:00am  -7:30pm to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia, PA.

Josephine is offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about providing world class customer service. The successful candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills with a flawless attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work independently. 

Josephine is a twenty-seven-story building featuring 254 luxury apartments that include studios, 1, 2, 3, and penthouse accommodations. Josephine boasts best-in-class amenities, including a 27^th floor sun-facing pool, poolside bar and lounge, cutting edge athletic studio, social lounge, a secured parking garage, and a myriad of many other amenities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for painting and repairing damaged walls.
• Monitors and replaces lights as necessary.
• Repairs and/or replaces windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, smoke alarms, baseboards, mirrors, closet doors, ceiling fans, mini blinds, faucets, sink plugs, washers, holes in the walls, and hangs drapes
• Repair all appliances and reports problems to Maintenance Supervisor or General Manager.
• Monitors and changes locks and make keys as necessary.
• Performs repairs to sinks and bathtubs, and minor repairs and replacement of bathroom tile.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

• Solid teamwork skills with flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements and deadlines
• Ability to anticipate maintenance needs of property
• Must be able to climb stairs on regular basis
• Must be available to assist with after-hours emergency situations
• Must be reliable and present a positive, professional image
• Ability to keep sensitive information highly confidential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail, and carry multiple projects through to completion.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work and ask for further clarification when necessary.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight time constraints, as well as the ability to deal with frequent interruptions, unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Ability to lift/move 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally
• Possible exposure to changing weather conditions and chemical fumes

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of practical experience
• Fair Housing Training
• Valid Driver’s license and ownership of vehicle in good repair
