What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at Southern Lumber & Millwork?
About the Role:
Our success starts with the receiving department. A receiving clerk helps control the quality of our products. We follow a paper to paper, paper to stock check on all inventory that comes to our yard; checking for accuracy of orders as well as the quality of products off of every truck.
There are times you'll be at the computer processing paperwork in the air conditioning, and other times you're checking off the trucks outside.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Utilize forklifts and reach trucks for efficient materials handling.
- Lift 50 lbs. frequently and safely.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Follow safety protocols, including OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse operations and improve efficiency.

Your prior Experience:
- A background in putting customers first, being a contributor to a team, and bringing your own uniqueness.
- Experience receiving window and door shipments from vendors.
- Knowledge of window and door vendors and products. Preferably from the vendors we work with the most; Marvin, Andersen, Portella, Viwinco, and Euro-Wall.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
