HEAD WOMENS SOCCER COACH
Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) invites applications for the position of Head Womens Soccer Coach for the successful administration of the program to begin for spring of 2025. This is a part-time stipend position that reports to the Director of Athletics. SMCC Soccer is a member of the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
The Womens Soccer program at SMCC plays both a competitive fall season schedule against YSCC and non-YSCC opponents. It also has a department-funded nontraditional season in the spring to assist with the engagement and retention of student-athletes. Duties include, but are not limited to: all aspects of coaching and administrating a collegiate soccer program; the successful recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes; scheduling practices; hiring and supervision of assistant coaching staff; and assist with team fundraising initiatives.
Successful candidates should have a background as either a player or coach at the collegiate level or have demonstrated experience at the high school/club level. Candidates with the ability to recruit student-athletes successfully and to lead in all facets of coaching a collegiate soccer program will be considered. The stipend for this position is $9,500 with a portion of that stipend being paid in the spring semester. The Womens Soccer program also has two stipend paid assistant positions to support the program.
