Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and safety-conscious Flagger to join our team. The Flagger will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic around construction sites. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation and a solid understanding of construction site protocols.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic flow around construction sites using appropriate signage and signals.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and construction personnel to ensure safety.
- Monitor construction activities to identify potential hazards and implement safety measures.
- Assist in the operation of heavy equipment as needed, including loaders, dump trucks, graders, backhoes, and bulldozers.
- Conduct utility locating tasks to prevent damage to underground utilities during construction activities.
- Maintain clear communication with team members regarding site conditions and any changes in traffic patterns.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols on the job site.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a flagging or traffic control role is required.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required by the job.
- A valid driver's license and a vehicle or reliable transportation to and from the job site.

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
