Summary
The General Warehouse position is responsible for Hands on involvement in all aspects of the distribution operations including small package, LTL (Less-than-truckload), TL (truckload), returns, receiving in a warehouse facility. Pick/pack/ship sales orders and replenishment of inventory. Complete project duties are assigned by designated manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Picks, processes, and packages as required.
- Assists in physical inventory, discrepancy resolution and performs cycle counting as required.
- Ensures receiving, picking, and shipping accuracy.
- Ensures product is labeled and packaged according to SMA specifications.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat; keep a clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Position requires physical ability for repetitious bending, stooping, standing, and walking with the occasional lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be flexible to work scheduled overtime.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work within a team environment, communicate professionally with team members and vendors, clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
- Ability to organize and prioritize projects and information with accurate turnaround under tight timeframes
- Ability to identify, plan, start, and complete projects or other work that needs to be accomplished
- Must pass drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- RF (Radio Frequency) scanner experience preferred.
- Previous packing/shipping experience is preferred.
