The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the Atlantic League are looking for a qualified Head Groundskeeper for the 2025 season. Regency Furniture Stadium, built in 2008, is a sand-based Kentucky bluegrass field located in Waldorf, Maryland. It is approximately 35 minutes south of Washington, D.C.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the Atlantic League are looking for a qualified Head Groundskeeper for the 2025 season. Regency Furniture Stadium, built in 2008, is a sand-based Kentucky bluegrass field located in Waldorf, Maryland. It is approximately 35 minutes south of Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities:
The Head Groundskeeper will be actively involved in all aspects of maintaining a professional baseball field:
- Repairing mounds/home plate
- Infield clay management
- Dragging, mowing, irrigation, tarp duties
- Chalking, painting logos, fertilizing,
- Supervising outside activities on the field
- Supervise and instruct game-day grounds crew
- Batting practice set up and breakdown
Qualifications:
- Work long hours (up to 12-14 on game days), including nights, weekends and holidays
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Aggressive, competitive and committed to the sports industry
- Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Detail-oriented and organized; ability to handle several projects at once
- Any experience working for a team, athletic department or event is beneficial
- Accredited, four-year degree in Turf Management
- Specialized training and experience in Turf Management
