What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician position at Southern Maryland Heating & Air, Inc.?
The typical function of a Service Technician is to deliver customer service by installing, maintaining, servicing, and/or repairing residential or light commercial heating, cooling and ventilation equipment or water heaters within company standards.
Prospective employee must possess a valid Driver’s License. Other recommended licenses and certifications include but are not limited to: CFC Certification, HVAC Journeyman or HVAC Apprenticeship license.
In general, the following conditions of the work environment are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidate must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write clearly in order to communicate with other employees and/or customers; manual dexterity required for reaching and lifting objects not exceeding federal and/or state laws. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Prolonged standing necessary.
