What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper/Cleaner position at Southern Maryland Housekeeping, L.L.C?
Our company is looking to hire an experienced housekeeper to join our existing cleaning staff. Qualified candidates will have previous professional cleaning experience. Candidates who have done similar cleaning work in the past will be preferred.
As a housekeeper, your role will involve completing a variety of cleaning tasks. This may include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, refilling supplies, and other tasks as needed. In order to be successful in the position, candidates will need to be capable of working efficiently without compromising our standards for cleanliness.
Housekeepers spend the majority of their shifts on their feet. Candidates will need to have the physical strength and stamina necessary to accomplish this each day.
Housekeeper Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Check and replace the stock of relevant supplies and equipment
- Ensure that all company standards for cleanliness are met consistently
- Adhere to strict health and safety requirements
- Utilize cleaning practices that protect equipment and furniture
- Interact with customers as needed, including dealing with reasonable requests and complaints with professionalism and patience
- Work well with the broader cleaning team
- Report and return lost property
Housekeeping Requirements:
- Previous experience as a housekeeper or in another professional cleaning role
- High school degree or equivalent
- Working knowledge of the English language
- The ability to work efficiently while meeting company standards
- The ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- The physical stamina and strength needed to stand and work for eight hours each day
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
