Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home health, or related fields, and possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional care.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Monitor and record patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean living environment.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in hobbies or interests.
Skills
- Experience in senior care, home health, or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices and working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
- Strong observational skills for monitoring patient conditions effectively.
- Ability to provide long-term care while maintaining compassion and patience.
- Proficiency in meal preparation that caters to specific dietary needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
