Orthopedic Device Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Patient Orthotic Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical terminology. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety while providing high-quality care. The Fitter will be responsible for fitting and adjusting medical devices, ensuring they meet the specific needs of each patient.

Duties

• Consult & assess patient needs and provide appropriate fittings for medical devices.
• Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure proper fit and function.
• Maintain a high level of patient service by addressing concerns and answering questions.
• Implement aseptic techniques during fittings to ensure patient safety.
• Document fitting procedures accurately, including coding for insurance purposes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team/patient.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in medical devices and techniques.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Experience in patient care , EMR, medical coding
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians & clinical staff
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Previous experience PT Technician, Personal trainer, ATC

Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
