Handyman

A Handyman is responsible for every aspect that is on site of the job/project assigned, they should be able to produce high quality work at an efficient pace in accordance with company standards as well as customer needs. Handymen are the everyday onsite face of the company which means they are part of the foundation of the company’s reputation. A Handyman should be a leader, keep a highly organized job site, and provide an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• This is a working handyman position
• Leadership and time management
• Daily communication with Director of Handyman Division
• Proper tracking of documentation and purchase receipts; including uploading all receipts by end of day
• Oversight and management of all assigned company tools, including trailers and its transportation (if applicable)
• Stocking of trailer and/or work vehicles
• Equipment and material inventory including maintenance
• Clean job site at all times, especially prior to lunch and at the end of day
• Ensure proper installation for each project by following company and industry standard practices
• Maintain accurate records on job completion dates while always maintaining quality standards including daily logs, photos, and videos of the job site at the end of each project
• Positive attitude and setting a positive job site atmosphere
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent service and professionalism to the Customer and Co-Workers
• High level of organization of job sites and flow at all times
• Job site safety should be the priority at all times

*Must provide the following hand tools:

• Tool bag/belt
• Hammer
• Cats Claw (Pry Bar)
• Tape measure
• Utility knife
• Pencils and markers
• Chalk line
• Speed square
• Gloves & weather appropriate attire

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• 2 years of experience in construction
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Strong customer service
• Reliable & consistent transportation
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills, including the ability to work with other team members
• Must be able to read blueprints and plans
• Must have basic math skills
• Experience with hand tools and heavy equipment
• Strong leadership & Organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

Advanced skill set in 3 or more of the following trades is preferred:

Drywall
Plumbing
Electrical
Siding
Trim
Flooring
Tile
Fences

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
