Overview:
Southern Michigan Pain Consultants is hiring a full-time Front Desk Administrative Assistant. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is organized; detail orientated and possesses excellent customer service and communication skills. This position will have administrative responsibilities. Previous experience a must. This position will function to support general medical office activities in order to maintain an efficient and effective office operation. This position is the first contact with patients and business relations, and therefore, requires providing a high level of customer service during all interactions, both in person and on the phone.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Effective verbal and written skills
* Customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
* Able to protect confidential patient information
* Able to communicate with demanding customers politely and efficiently.
* Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Windows
* Basic office skills: filing, data entry, typing
* Basic office machine usage: fax via EHR, copier, printer, scanning
* Multi-line phone skills including transferring calls, taking and delivering messages, phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, etc.
* Provide customer support by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Moderate to heavy computer use
SKILLS:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle demanding patients professionally
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Very busy, high patient volume
· Exposure to a variety of attitudes and personalities from patients
