JOB SUMMARY
The Nazarene recruiter represents SNU to its constituents (i.e., students, parents, youth workers, pastors, churches, schools, guidance counselors, etc.). Through personal on- and off-campus contacts, the representative will generate leads, follow up on leads, present current information, and establish a solid rapport with prospective students. Role includes travel to churches, camps, and college fairs. Performance is based on the completion of assignments and results obtained.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Articulate the SNU admission process to prospective students and parents, including financial aid opportunities, academic programs, and campus activities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of campus activities, academic programs, andparticipate in campus events when possible
- Ability and willingness to travel within the South-Central region (Texas, Oklahoma,Arkansas and Louisiana) to visit regional churches and youth groups
- Represent SNU at college fairs
- Help to enroll a high-quality student body
- Connect with influencers internally and externally
- Assist with on-campus recruitment events
- Submit reports to the Vice President for Enrollment & Marketing as needed
- Ability to provide quality customer service
- Work with student Admission groups who represent SNU during the summer
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. - An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity.
- High school graduate
- Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast paced work environment
- Typing and spelling competency
- Experience with various computer software applications
- Data entry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some college coursework
- Experience in higher education
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
Supervision Exercised:
May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
