JOB SUMMARY
The primary focus of this position is the leadership of the academic programming for the Graduate Programs in Counseling Psychology. The program director will maintain and develop program curriculum, teach in the program, provide oversight and training of faculty, ensure compliance with state regulations for licensure and clinical practice, and participate in grant writing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Teach an annual course load of 15 hours.
- 17 hours of load assigned for administrative duties, group supervision of masters level interns, clinical load, and research.
- Provide weekly group supervision for masters level interns.
- Direct weekly staff meetings.
- Provide mentorship for students working on clinical competency projects.
- Oversee staff functions (e.g., admissions meetings, clinical competency evaluations, annual reviews).
- Collaborate with PGS operational colleagues to recruit new cohorts as well as plan and execute outreach events
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:

- An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity.
- Conferred doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology.
- Licensed or license eligible to practice in the state of Oklahoma at either the doctorate or masters level.
- Demonstrable success teaching in higher education.
- Demonstrable success in the practice of clinical or counseling psychology.
- Experience in counseling/clinical administration.
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from the Vice President for Academic Affairs for Professional and Graduate Studies.
Supervision Exercised:
Provide supervision and oversight to the other core Graduate Programs in Counseling Psychology faculty.
