Medical Lab Scientist - Up to $10,000 Sign On Bonus
- 32hrs / week - Full Time
- Day Shift with every 3rd Weekend and a Holiday Rotation
- Evening shifts as needed.

About the Job :
Performs all aspects of Laboratory testing in one or more of the following departments : Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology, Serology and Urinalysis.
What You’ll Do :
Analyzes and precisely performs laboratory tests using various analyzers and / or manual methods, including instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, while maintaining the integrity of samples throughout the process.
Resolve and document procedural problems encountered in the daily workload. Notify laboratory management of problems, as appropriate.
Maintain records and documentation in order to adhere to regulations set forth by regulatory agencies such as, DNV, CAP, Medicare, Medicaid and Hospital Laboratory policy and procedures. This includes Quality Assurance, Infection Prevention and Hazardous Waste activities / policies.
Maintains clinical laboratory technical knowledge to accurately interpret test results for appropriate patient care.
Monitors, operates, troubleshoots, and calibrates laboratory instrumentation in assigned technical area and contacts service representatives as needed.
Who You Are :
Associate degree in Medical Lab Technology, biology, science, related field required OR an equivalent combination of experience and education is required (ie. Military training).
Exam eligible required.
Basic knowledge of Clinical Laboratory functions
Must possess good judgement and problem-solving skills.
Organizational skills, ability to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to communicate in all formats with patients and coworkers and ability to work independently required.
