The opportunity
An Admission Counselor I enrolls students into Undergraduate and Graduate degree programs at SNHU and will report to the Admission Team Lead/Director. You will receive inquiries such as emails, live chats, and telephone calls through a variety of marketing channels and will assist students through the enrollment process, being a liaison to other campus departments and serving as the student's advocate. This position is remote.
You'll Get To:
- Conduct phone interviews with prospective students (evaluate the prospective student's needs, interests and qualifications while providing concise information to help the prospective student make an informed decision on program offering, delivery mode, and school fit)
- You will engage with students by phone, email, and other communication channels
- Present information about SNHU, program offerings, structure, accreditation, and cost in an accurate and ethical manner
- Achieve the expected goals including: Daily activity, Schedule Adherence, Ready Time, Call Outline Adherence, Call and Email Flow, Service and Support, Compliance, and Program Knowledge
- Assist prospective students through the admission process observing SNHU policies and procedures, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and accrediting standards
- Follow schedule to include ready time, follow up time, and chat
- You will operate within and will be measured concerning relationship building, call flow and pipeline management, interpersonal/communication, needs analysis/service and support, planning, and implementing
- Partner with departments outside of Admission including Financial Aid, Enrollment Support Services, and Advising to ensure the delivery of a high level of service to every student; Escalate issues.
- Uphold all SNHU policies, procedures, with integrity and ethics
- Commencement or commencement related activities may be required
- Additional duties may be assigned
What We're Looking For:
- Associates degree/some college coursework must be completed
- At least 1 year of relevant sales and/or customer service experience in relationship or consultative sales
- Flexible to work either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday
- You must reside in a Central, Eastern, Mountain, or Pacific approved Synergy state
Anticipated Start Date: Monday, 7/8/2024
Hourly Pay Rate: $20.50
Training/Transition Schedule - First Five Weeks of Employment:
Monday - Friday
Central Candidates: 7:30am - 4:00pm
Eastern Candidates: 8:30am - 5:00pm
Mountain Candidates: 9:00am - 5:30pm
Pacific & Arizona Candidates: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Work Schedule: Flexible to work either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday. Beginning week 6 of employment.
Central Candidates: (3) shifts 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm CST, (2) shifts 12:30pm - 9:00pm CST
Eastern Candidates: (3) shifts 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm EST, (2) shifts 12:30pm - 9:00pm EST
Mountain Candidates: (3) shifts 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm MST, (2) shifts 11:30am - 8:00pm MST
Pacific Candidates: (3) shifts 8:00am - 4:30pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm PST, (2) shifts 10:30am - 7:00pm PST. Schedule will shift semi-annually in states or territories not observing DST (AZ candidates only).
