The opportunity
Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is looking for an experienced higher education leader to lead Behavioral Intervention (BIT) and CARE Teams for both campus-based and online settings and collaborate in the development of SNHU's student support and well-being strategies. With a ability to design and implement scalable intervention models, you will develop, review, and implement procedures for threat assessment and case management and lead the evolution of SNHU's established BIT / CARE team models to meet the needs of SNHU's physical campus students and the needs of over 200,000 online students nationwide.
In this important role, you will collaborate with important departments in a matrixed organization-including Student Affairs, Student Experience, Community Standards, the Wellness Center, Legal and Compliance, and Title IX-to develop and implement a, data-informed, and scalable approach that promotes a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, and provides risk mitigation to the University. You will bring BIT experience, innovation, and skills to foster a culture of well-being ensuring SNHU continues to set the standard for student support in higher education. You will report to the Vice President of Student Experience Support Services. This is a #LI-Hybrid role working on Campus.
Leadership & Strategy
- You will collaborate with university partners and lead us to define the mission, scope, membership, and vision for a scalable BIT / CARE Team and threat assessment and behavioral intervention processes across campus and online platforms.
- You will develop, document, and lead long-term strategic plans to establish scalable, institution-wide behavioral intervention standards that align with our policies and compliance standards.
- You will implement comprehensive risk assessment, intervention and case management models, ensuring ongoing quality improvement, and reviews of policies and protocols.
- You will chair regular and emergency BIT / CARE Team meetings and advisory groups to foster collaboration, ensure compliance, provide mentoring and feedback, and address complex cases.
- You will coordinate team training programs covering laws, policies, mental health, cultural competency, communication, record-keeping, risk mitigation, and intervention techniques.
- You will partner with Communications teams to create targeted marketing strategies that increase awareness of BIT / CARE Team services among our students and staff.
- You will prepare insight reports and recommendations to inform policy updates, guide strategic decisions, and enhance service delivery.
- You will build relationships with internal student support partners and external support organizations and community resources.
- You will collaborate with Student Affairs, Student Experience teams, and health promotion programs to identify trends and opportunities that support our goals for student and employee well-being.

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $100,560.00 - $160,926.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $111,119.00 - $150,338.00.
